If you're going to go, try to see it all

We had so much fun in Rochester!

I gained 4 pounds.  We ate candy or cheese or fried food everyday.  So much for good intentions.

Kitty, yin to my yang, took us everywhere.

In order:
Rochester Falls
Magnolia Cafe
Watson's Candy Store - saw it on the Food Network, they make sponge candy
the Erie Canal
the best pizza ever (I really think that's where the 4 pounds came from - I couldn't quit till it was gone)

I bet you think I'm finished.  That was just day 1.  Remember we arrived at 3 in the afternoon!  Oh,  that Kitty!

On Friday, Phil went to work with John, and we went to the most fabulous YMCA I've ever seen.  Sadly, the 45 minutes we spent on the treadmill did not erase all that pizza from the night before, but I give myself an A for effort.  This was "my" day.  By which I mean we didn't do much.  We did go out to dinner.  Elle put away more fried calamari than I actually thought was possible.

The following day we saw
Rochester Public Market (Farmers Market - Voted #1 in the country)
Anchor Bar in Buffalo - where buffalo wings were created, they're okay.  I mean, they're buffalo wings.
Niagara Falls
Canadian drugstore (my favorite - I love to see what OTC things they have that we don't.  I know, I'm weird.)
Indian food - nothing special - John just wanted Indian food, found out girls like naan and that's about it

The next morning it was to a
sugar house to see how maple syrup is made - it was the Maple Syrup Festival
eat pancakes with aforementioned syrup
and on a hike.

  1. Oh, that's so funny that there is a groupon link. I bought a Rochester groupon to the place where Elle ate all the calamari. Now I'm getting the Rochester deal everyday. I'll have to go edit my preferences or not and call Kitty to tell her what the deal is. Because we're crazy like that.
